About Cookies

Cookies, of the technological sort, are small files that hold unique identifiers that allow websites to distinguish users from one another.

Cookies do *not* contain any personal information, but can be used to remember things such as settings and options.

Blocking Cookies

Cookies can be blocked, the following step can be taken to do so, based on your browser.

  • Internet Explorer: Click "Tools", "Internet Options", "Privacy", and selecting "Block all cookies" using the sliding selector;
  • Firefox: Click "Tools", "Options", and un-checking "Accept cookies from sites" in the "Privacy" box
  • Google Chrome: Click "Options", "Under the hood", Content Settings in the "Privacy" section. Click on the Cookies tab in the Content Settings.
  • Safari: Click "Preferences", selecting the "Privacy" tab and "Block cookies".

Clearing Cookies

Cookies can also be cleared from you browser, with the following steps.

  • Internet Explorer: You must manually delete all cookies.
  • Firefox: Click "Tools", "Options" and "Settings", and  then click "Clear private data" in the "Tools" menu, after selecting that cookies be deleted.
  • Google Chrome: Click "Options", "Under the hood", "Content Setting"s in the "Privacy" section. Click on the Cookies tab in the Content Settings.
  • Safari: Click "Preferences", selecting the "Privacy" tab and "Remove All Website Data".
